УТВЕРЖДЕНИЕ: В ходе опроса профессора Роберта Яна ван Пельта (Robert Jan van Pelt) на процессе по обвинению проф. Деборы Липштадт (Deborah Lipstadt) в клевете Ирвинг поставил на стол бутылку с водой и спросил: "Вы действительно искренне верите в то, что можно сжечь тело с помощью кокса, который может поместиться в одну из таких бутылок для воды? Ведь вы это утверждаете?"

ОТВЕТ: Однако, поскольку имеющая у нас документация некомплектна, мы, вероятно, никогда не узнаем, сколько именно кокса было доставлено в Аушвиц, и сколько кокса требовалось для процесса кремации.
